I am a Sad Doggie

Yesterday was one of the biggest disappointments of my life. It was agility day. Now, agility isn't disappointing, it's when you can't do agility that is disappointing. I was so excited... I was going to run... I was going to jump... it was going to be a fun night at the agility barn... until we got there. Lizzy had me all excited, she kept on saying, "Agility, Sparky! Agility! We're gonna do agility!" I love that word... agility... Why do they call it that? Well, perhaps because agility means agile, and ity. I know what agile means, but ity? Maybe it stands for Irresponsible Terrier Youth? But I'm not a terrier... I suppose I'll never know what ity means. All I know is that it goes with agility, so I love it. But, back to my big disappointment, we got to the barn... the one we do agility in. It was 8:00. Agility time. But we could not get in. The gate was closed... the barn lights were off... all the lights everywhere were off... no one was there... it was dark... where's agility? We waited... thinking maybe the agility people were very late... they never came... Eventually, Lola the Puggle and her owner came, and they were also puzzled as to why it was dark, and no one was there. So finally, we had to go back home. No agility... no fun... That is why I am a very sad doggie. Today my humans are going to try to phone the agility people, and ask why there was no class. I hope there will be a class again next week...

Meanwhile, I will lie around and be very sad...

And I will stare into space... dreaming... hoping... that one day, I might be able to do agility again...

Oh... and one more thing... thank you for all your comments on my art work. I'm glad you all like it. I was thinking... if I did put up some of my art on ebay... would anyone seriously buy it? I would put the money towards the animal shelters around here... to help other doggies (And cats, believe it or not) who are less fortunate than we are...

I hope everydog has a great weekend!

I'm an Artist

The Fat Blob (White Cat) hasn't tried to take over my blog again. I hope that was the last of him!

Anyway, guess what I did today? I drew a picture! I got some paper, and then I had to choose which colors to draw my picture with. I ended up choosing my 4 favorite colors. Purple, because I once had a purple tail. Red, because I look best in red. Brown, because I am brown. And orange, because orange is just a cool color.

Next, I had to choose which color to use first. I chose purple.

Before I could start my drawing, I had to take the lid off the marker.

Oops, I guess the lid is on the other side.

Okay, let's start!

It's pretty hard to hold the marker just right. Only a skilled artist can do what I'm doing.

After hours of hard work and concentration, I finally finished. It's a herd of horses! Can you see them? I really like the way I did their ears and hooves.

Aren't I a great artist?

A Post from a Cat

Hello. I am smart. The stupid mutt doesn't know that I knew he has a blog. But I do know, because I have watched him when he thinks no one is watching. I know his e-mail. I know his password. I know everything. And, I know that he shouldn't be the only one allowed to have a blog.
The mutt is sleeping right now. He doesn't know where I am. Or what I am doing.
Let me introduce myself. I am White Cat. I am also known as Smudge Pudge. Fatso. Beluga. Fat Cat. Kitty Cow. Blubber Boy. Fatty. Chief Big Fat. Please only call me White Cat. I do not much like my nicknames.

I am the eldest of the animals that live with my people. I am also the smartest. And the wisest. I like to sleep in roads. I do not move when cars come. People have to get out of their cars and pick me up and carry me to the side of the road. Why do they do that? I do not like to be disturbed when I am sleeping on the road. Naughty people.
I like food. I eat cat food. I eat human food. I eat dog food. I eat the neighbor's cat food. I steal neighbor's dough nuts. Once I almost stole the neighbor's fish. But I got caught.
I am not afraid of dogs. If they chase me, I sit down. Dogs are too scared to come too close to me. Some do. I give them a new nose. A bloody new nose. If dogs do not bug me, I won't hurt them. If you blogging dogs don't bug me, I might be your friend.
Sparky is funny. He's dumb. Well, maybe not dumb for a dog. But a lot dumber than cats. I like to-

HEY! NO ONE PAY ATTENTION TO THE CAT. I don't know how he did it! How'd he get my password? How did he know I have a blog? This is horrible! He's gonna take over the whole thing! I need to-

Shove over mutt. I'm trying to blog here. Sorry 'bout that, everdog. Looks like the mutt woke up. As I was saying-

I AM NOT A MUTT! Wait, I am a mutt, but my name isn't mutt! I am Sparky! Do you hear that, Fatso?

Don't call me that. I do not like my nicknames. Dumb Dog.

I am not dumb! Someone, help me here! I've got to get rid of the cat! He's gonna-

Quiet down, mutt. Just go away. Let me finish my post. I have claws, you know. I can use them.

No! Don't use them! Okay, fine, finish your post, as long as you don't use your claws on me! But hurry up!

Fine. I won't use my claws. But before I finish, you have to apologize for calling me a fatso.

Only if you apologize for calling me mutt and dumb dog.

Fine. Sorry for calling you mutt and dumb dog. But that doesn't mean I will never call you mutt and dumb dog again.

Sorry for calling you Fatso. But if you are mean to me anymore, I'll still call you Fatso!

Okay, now let me finish my post. Um... I think that's all I had to say. I guess I'm finished. I'll be back, though. This is not that last you've heard from White Cat.

YES! He's gone! I have my blog to myself again! I hope he doesn't come back anytime soon. FATSO! Heh heh. Well, anyway, Ruby tagged me to to tell you what kind of vehicle I think I am. I
have to think of what type of vehicle my personality most resembles. Well, I don't know much about cars, but if I were a car I think I would be a Jaguar! They're cool and speedy.

I don't have enough time to tag anyone to tell about what kind of car they would be. So, if you want to be tagged, you're tagged! Have a good weekend everydog!

Agility Class

So I've told you all I have started agility classes again. These classes are not the same ones I used to take, these ones are more for professional training and they have all the full-sized equipment. (At the last classes the building wasn't big enough for all the full-sized equipment to fit inside. It was still really fun though, I loved jumping right over the A-frame. The full-sized one is a little too big to jump over) So these classes are in a big white barn, and they're at night time when it's cold. Lizzy freezes to death while I'm running around getting very hot. There are 8 dogs in our class, and we are divided into 2 groups of 4, and each group uses one side of the barn for 30 minutes and then we have a little break, then switch sides of the barn for the last 30 minutes. The 3 other dogs in my group are Daisy the Labradoodle, Lola the Puggle, and ... um... I can't remember the other pup's name, but she's a Duck Tolling Retreiver. Actually, she looks exactly like River, but she's a tad bigger and a tad blonder. All the dogs in my group are still pups, about 1 or 2 years old. And I, who just turned 6, am the oldest. However, I do not act the oldest!

Towards the end of the class, the "teacher" (the lady who trains Lizzy and I) said that we would have to stop agility for the night because...

"You," she said, pointing at the Puggle and her owner. "Your dog is slowing down." Then she turns to the Labradoodle and her owner. "And you," she says again. "Your dog is slowing down." Then she turns and points at the Duck Tolling Retriever. "And you, your dog is slowing down." And then, she turns, and points at Lizzy and I. "And, you. Your dog has an overload of craziness."

And that is how our class ended that day. My body may be old, but the rest of me isn't!

Anyway, we went up to the pond again yesterday. Here's a couple pictures Lizzy took of me. Toffee, I hope you can see the pictures now. I uploaded them on Facebook instead of Ringo.

Now, you all know I'm part bird, 'cause I can fly like one. I'm also part mountain goat, because I climb like one, and I'm part Greyhound, because I run like one. But, did you know that I am also part lion? 'Cause I can roar like one!

Here's one last interesting picture of me. Lizzy thinks I look funny, so she made me post it.

Have a great day everydog and GG!

A Lazy Day...

It's hot out today. A perfect day to laze around relax.

Do you like my hammock?

Here's a short video of me doing a jump through the tire. Actually, it's the tunnel but it's all folded up.

I hope everyone else is having a great day today!

How do you all like the new look? Now that summer is over, school has started, and autumn is just around the corner, I decided to change the blog to look more fall-ish. I hope you all like it!

Sorry I haven't been blogging much lately. We've been quite busy. School has started again for Lizzy and her siblings. I'm so glad my humans are home schooled, so I can stay with them all day. I just started agility lessons again. I was going to take classes in the summer too, but they were canceled because not enough dogs signed up. So I'm glad to be doing agility again! We also just went to the beach on Saturday. I chased my ball non-stop for about 4 hours! But as soon as I got home, I fell asleep. Lizzy had to bath me, and I didn't even bother to run away and hide this time. I just hopped in the tub, lay down, put my head on the edge, closed my eyes and slept as she bathed me. Yesterday we went to Rocky Point Park, and I had a pretty good time there too. We had supper there, and I stole some fries. They were very good! I met a bunch of doggies there, too. And today Lizzy and I practiced agility, cuddled, and now here I am. So that's some of the stuff I've been doing lately... But quite a while ago I was tagged by a couple doggies, so I might as well do what they said...

First, I was tagged by Ruby! I'm supposed to list 5 of my favorite foods, and then my human Lizzy has to do the same. Oh boy, this is gonna be hard! I love all foods (except for dog food).

1. Squash peals. They're actually really good! Has any other dog here tried them? They're the best food ever!
2. Cheese! Every dog has to love cheese. My humans don't give me very much though because they say it makes me do stinkies...?
3. Potatoe chips. Crunchy and satisfying.
4. Peanut butter sandwiches. They're a beautiful, chewy type of food.
5. Grass! I love grass. One of my favorite things to do is graze in a field with tall, green grass. Sometimes Marble (One of the cats in the family) and I will graze together in the backyard.

Okay, so those are just a few of my favorite foods. Lizzy also likes the same foods (Except for the grass, and she says the squash peals are okay if you put on lots of cinnamon and suger, but generally she'd prefer the actual squash rather the the peal). Anyway, here are Lizzy's favorite foods!

1. Pasta. Any kind.
2. Fruit. Any kind.
3. Pie. Any kind.
4. Veggies. Any kind.
5. Cookies. Any kind.

Lizzy will eat pretty much any kind of food, like me! Okay, now Bernard has tagged me to play this game of Scategories. Here are the rules:

Use the 1st letter of your name to answer each of the questions. They must be real places, names, things ... If you can't think of anything, skip it. You CAN'T use your name for the boy/girl name question. You take the first letter of your first name, and then answer the questions using only that letter.

Okay, here goes!

What is your name? Sparky
4 letter word: Song
Vehicle: Saturn
TV Show: Um... I don't think I can name one! I'd ask Lizzy, but she never watches TV.
City: Surrey, B.C.
Boy Name: Samson
Girl Name: Sally
Alcoholic Drink: Sangria
Occupation: Student
Something you wear: Socks
Celebrity: I can't think of any at the moment...
Food: Spaghetti
Something found in a bathroom: Soap
Reason for being late: Stuck in traffic
Cartoon Character: Scooby Doo
Something You Shout: Stop!

I won't tag anyone today, so if anyone who hasn't done the 5 favorite foods or the scategories wants to do it, go ahead! Have a good week everydog!

Presents from Ume and Hula Hoop Jumping

So Lizzy is finally back from camp! I'm so excited to have her back home where I can keep an eye on her, and so she can sneak me human food and extra dog treats. How's everydog doing? Has anything exciting happened while Lizzy was away? I got another present while Lizzy was at camp, and it was very hard to wait to open it until she got home. This present is from Ume. She sent me lots of treats, and guess what else? A ball! And it's not a tennis ball, it's a purple rubbery interesting bouncy FUN kind of ball! I love it! It's just as good as a tennis ball. I'll bet you know what's coming next... pictures of my new purple ball! Well guess what?... You're wrong! I am tired of having my pictures taken with my presents, because I always have to wait, wait, wait until Lizzy is satisfied with her pictures. So, I hid my ball! And now Lizzy can't take pictures of me with my new toy! However, there's just one problem... I can't remember where I hid my new ball. It's horrible! I never should have hidden it in the first place, because now I can't find it anywhere! Well, the good part is that I didn't have time to hide my treats, so they are not lost. However, I did have to get my pictures taken with the treats...

Hopefully I can find my ball again soon. Thankyou so much Ume for the presents!

Now I would like to share a video with you all. Here I am, jumping through my hula hoop! I love jumping, I could do it forever!
