My Toe and the Snow...

Guess what? It finally snowed again! And it's supposed to snow a lot more! We got about 4 inches right now, and we're supposed to get tons more tonight and tomorrow. This is so exciting! However, there's just one problem... I can't play in it.

You heard me right. I can't play in the snow. And it sucks. Why, you might ask? Well, my humans say I need to "rest" for a few days. Excuse me? I can't rest now! There's fresh snow on the ground, just waiting to turn yellow and get played upon! I mean, just look at it all! (This is up at the frozen pond)

Okay, so I need to rest. The reason is, I hurt my paw. Actually, I hurt one of my toes on my paw. We're not sure how, really. I might have cut it on some ice. There's been ice everywhere for the last week. Lizzy tries to feel my toe, or at least look at it, but it's too painful to be handled, and I have to much fur on my paws so she can't see what's wrong. My humans said I have to rest for a few days, and I can't play on my paw very much. And if it doesn't get better in a few days, I'll have to go to the vet. Man, I hope it gets better real fast!

Do you have any idea how hard it is to stay inside, and not play in the snow?

I hope the rest of you are all having a good week so far!

A Bunny and a Kitty

Hi Everydog and hamsterriers! I hope you all had a great weekend. Tomorrow's Monday already! Man, time flies by so fast. Did you know... Time flies like an arrow, but fruit flies like bananas? It's true. I tell ya, especially in the summer, every time Lizzy gives me a banana, those little flies follow me around everywhere. They're annoying little pests.

Looks at this cute little bunny. Her name is Angel. Doesn't she look like fun to chase? Hee hee.
Angel just started a blog for herself. I think she'd really appreciate it if you all went over and barked hello. She's a pretty cool little bunny.

Oooh, look at this! It's Rascal the cat, looking in through the window. What do you want, Rascal?
Oh, you want inside, do you? Well, that's too bad... 'Cause I don't think I can let you in. I guess you'll have to stay outside in the cold, while I sit inside the nice warm house and enjoy my wonderful life. You can stay out there and freeze to death, for all I care. Ha ha! After all, who do you think will let you inside?
Hmm? Look behind me, you say? Oh. Heh heh, uh, hi Lizzy. I was just, uh, telling Rascal about how wonderful life will be, uh... For her... When someone opens the door, to, uh... let her in... Heh heh...
Phooey. I lose again. I hate it when Rascal flicks her tail at me as she walks past.

I wish Lizzy would've let her stay out a little longer. I was enjoying our little talk through the door, with Rascal on the cold side for once.

Tongue Pictures!

Hi everydog! I had a blast at agility class last night. I ended up wearing my Orange Bandanna, just like what most of you voted for. The Hawaiian Flower Necklace came to a close second, though. I suppose I'll wear that one next week!

I've noticed that a bunch of you have been posting your tongue pictures! Well, I decided to dig through a bunch of my old photos, and guess what I found? Tongue pictures!

Here's the first. I actually didn't want to put up this shot, as it is quite embarrassing being caught on camera naked in the shower. But Lizzy made me put it up.

Here's the next shot. I think I was actually licking up and eating my boogers here. Another embarrassing memory.

Here I am, yawning just before bed time.

This is me, panting after and game of ball at the park.

And again, eating my, uh, cough cough, boogers, cough, during agility practice.

This picture was taken during a very hot summer day at the park. I still hadn't had my summer haircut yet!

Now in this picture, I'm not quite sure what I was doing... If I remember correctly, I believe I was trying to push back the hair from over my eyes by using my tongue. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite long enough.

In this picture, you can see how long my tongue is!
You can just see a tiny bit of my tongue here. I was in the middle of my daily summer grass meal when Lizzy snapped this shot.
Here I am, yelling and barking with joy as we finally arrive at our vacation spot. Or was I yawning just as we started the long, boring trip there? I can't remember.
Finally, here's the last tongue picture. There's actually still more, but I think I've already posted enough. Here's a big tongue smile to start off your weekend with!

A Fashion Show...

Tomorrow I'm starting agility classes again! My other classes ended in November, but they won't go through the winter so I'm gonna go back to my old classes for the winter. I'm looking forward to seeing some of my old friends again!

The only problem about starting agility again tomorrow is, I don't know what to wear! I gotta look my best to make a good impression on the new dogs at the classes. I need you all to help me decide what to wear!

Here's some of my choices... I'll post one nice picture and then one action picture of each. Which do I look best in?

This is my orange bandanna with stripes on it. Lizzy just made it for me today!

And here's what I look like when I wear it in action!

My second choice, a bright yellow flower necklace! But, do you think it makes me look too girlish?...

And, in action...

Last of all, this is my teddy-bear skirt. It's supposed to be a skirt for teddy bears, but I think it looks better around my neck, don't ya think?
And, the action shot...

Okay, so what should I wear to my first agility class of the winter session?

1. Orange Bandanna,
2. Yellow Flower Necklace, or...
3. The Teddy-Bear Skirt

The Way to Get Dizzy

So, Lizzy's been making me work and work on my spins. I can already do them good enough! She just enjoys watching me spin so she makes me do it over and over again. It's no wonder I've been running into the wardrobe lately! I'm too dizzy to walk strait!

Yesterday we went for a walk at Stanley Park! There's so many interesting smells and animals there. Unfortunately my humans wouldn't let me chase the herons and raccoons and seagulls, but it was still fun to watch. Lizzy took a few pictures...

Here's one of the seagulls, looking out at the sea.

Look at this funny bird! I wonder if these kind are fun to chase, too?

Here's one of the many raccoons at the park. They come right up to Lizzy to try to look in her pockets for food!

And here's a heron! Lizzy wanted a picture of it in flight, so she tried to get close enough to scare it into flight. But it wouldn't fly away! Lizzy could've reached out and petted it just like she does with the raccoons.
Unfortunately, Lizzy was too busy taking pictures of animals and forgot to take pictures of handsome me! Oh well, I don't mind. I was busy enough smelling all these weird smells and trying to chase other animals. I even met this interesting little white rat! Lizzy said they're called Miniature Chihuahuas. But I thought a Chihuahua was a dog? This little guy was smaller than the size of my paw! I've never seen anything quite like him. I must say, he's the cutest rat I've ever seen!

New Year, New Post.

Sorry I haven't posted or visited any of your dog blogs for a couple weeks. I decided to take advantage of the winter break, so I could have a break. Do you know what's really cool? We had our very first White Christmas! That's right, it snowed on Christmas day! Lizzy says she has never remembered having snow on Christmas before. She took lots of pictures of me during the holidays, but guess what she did? She deleted them. "Accidentally", she says. Oh well... Anyways, I had a great Christmas over all, and I got about 81 Christmas cards from all of you! Thank you so much!

Yesterday I ran into the wardrobe. I didn't realize wardrobes were so hard! Some of my humans called me "dumb dog" and laughed. So my body wasn't only aching, but the words my humans called me were a pain, too. But I love Lizzy. After I ran into the wardrobe, she didn't call me "dumb". She just gave me and hug and a kiss to help me feel better, and said, "It's okay, Sparky. Sometimes your bulb's just a little dim, that's all" I think she meant to say the light bulb in the living room was dim so I couldn't see the wardrobe, and that's why I ran into it. She's very good at coming to my defense in times like this.

Time to rest after the holidays...
