Bad News and Good News

We were very sorry to hear that Hammer's friend, Khomet the horse, crossed the rainbow bridge into heaven yesterday. He was a beautiful horse, and we'll miss him terribly.

Hammer's mom, Susan, is absolutely devastated right now. We can't even begin to imagine the pain she's going though. Please go over to Hammer's blog and give her your support, and keep her and the family in your thoughts and prayers.

On a happier note, we are very excited to see that Spring has finally sprung! Yesterday we went to Stanley Park. It was a beautiful day! Look at all the daisies I'm sitting in!

Do you see this? This is another one of those evil squirrels. I was dying to chase it, but nooo, Lizzy made her family hold me back while she went off to take some pictures of all these critters. Lizzy, take pictures of me! Not them!

Man, if I had been off my leash, it would have been pure heaven! Squirrels to chase, ducks to catch, swans to annoy, ...
Speaking of swans, my humans were excited to see these two doing the "heart". I gotta admit, it did look pretty cool! This picture is for you, Mary-Margaret. Hee hee.

I wonder what it would have been like if I could chase the swans. Do you think these big birds would be scared of me? Oh, I bet they'd run for their lives if I were off the leash!

We also saw these very interesting "turtles", Lizzy called them. I thought they were rocks until I got a better look. They're real lazy-butts, I don't think they moved for the whole day!

We saw a lot more animals, but I'm not going to post any more pictures of them. I mean, it's my blog, so where's my pictures? Here's one more of me in the daisies.

I hope you all had a great weekend!

Those are some beautiful pictures that your mom took at the park the other day! Thank you for signing my guestbook too. I wish it was more spring like here. Hey! Guess what! My mom met a hockey player from the Okanogan valley the other day, he plays for the Bruins.
We are off to express our condolences regarding Khomet.

We hated to learn of Khomet's death too. Susan really loves her animal friends and this is a huge loss.

Looks like you had a good day at the park. Those swans are cute.

We watch squirrels from the back door. We'd love to chase them too.

Gee Sparky, You have some really neat wildlife around...we didn't even see a deer when we were in the country and it's a good thing too since they eat all of Gram's bushes and flowers and she gets hotter than a campfire at 'em......Toby sure would like to play with you if you like chasing rocks too...stop by sometime.

And we are so sorry to hear about such a beautiful horse crossing the bridge...our sympathies to Khomet's family.....

And how about tip toeing through the tulips next time Sparky....will ya?

G'day Sparky,
We're very sad to hear about Khomet. It was very shocking news.

We were very excited to see you post about Stanley Park because my pinkies have been there. They thought it was lovely even though it was winter and a bit drizzly they still had a lovely walk around the park. They even saw a squirrel...yeah!

ACK!!! While that is a very good picture of the squirrel, it looks rather, uhhh evil! I wish you could have been let off your leash so that you could chase that odd animal down!

Though, I wouldn't have messed with those swans! They probably would have ganged up on you, birds are mean like that sometimes!

Slurp!

Sparky!

You look so at home in the daisies, man! And, I'm pawsitive those ducks, squirrels, and swans would run for the hills if you were off leash.

We're going to go give Susan some more comforting goob smooches. That's gotta be tough to lose such a good friend like Khomet.

Goober love,
Stanley
