Painting for the Australian Bushfires

So we all know about the devestating bushfires in Australia by now...  There are so many animals, both pets and wildlife, who desperately need our help...

...My human and I have been twisting our brains trying to think of a way we could help save these animals...  How we could raise money to donate...

... And finally, we came up with a solution...  Painting!

A couple months ago I, Sparky, made a painting with my very own paws.  No human strokes of a brush, and not even a brush, were involved in this painting.  It was painted entirely by me!  Indeed, I am a dog who greatly enjoys creating works of art...

Here I am, testing the colors and shapes of my painted paw prints...

Painting is quite simple really.  You just stick your paws on the paint pad, and then move over and place your paws on the canvas, leaving beautifully colored paw prints...  See how I'm enjoying this?

Look!  Do you like my painting so far?

Ahh, the last finishing touch!

And finally, the finished creation!  I'm not exactly sure what this painting is supposed to be of, but you have to admit it does look pretty cool.  It's made entirely of my own paw prints!

Ever since I made this painting I've been wondering what to do with it...  And now, I've decided to use it to raise money to help the animals in Australia!

We have put this painting up on eBay, you can find it HERE.  Everydog, cat, hamster, human, or whoever else might be reading this, this may be your lucky week!  You could get this special painting created by Sparky the Great Painter, with free shipping!

I have no idea what this painting might sell for.  But whether it be $2, $10, or more or less, every penny counts.  These Australian animals need our help.  Even just one or two dollars will help them.

So my friends, even if you do not want to bid on my lovely painting, I don't mind.  But I urge you all...  Please donate whatever you can give...  even if it's just a dollar or two...  The RSPCA is gathering donations, you can donate to them HERE.  And once my painting is sold, I will be giving 100% of the net proceeds recieved to them...

Also, some of you may have noticed the google adds on my blog sidebar... Every time someone clicks on the adds, we recieve a few cents...  And each of these cents adds up to dollars, and 100% of these dollars will be used to help our animal friends...

Once again, if anyone is interesting in bidding on my painting to help the Australian animals, you may find it HERE.  Starting bid is at $0.99 US, shipping is free, and remember, ALL proceeds go to helping our animal friends affected by the Australian bushfires!

That's incredible! What a great idea to help those in Australia!
Meanwhile, on a side note, I've been wanting to paint something for awhile. But my Old Girl didn't know--do puppies have to use a special kind of paint or anything, or is regular paint OK for our paws?
Thanks in advance!

And also, thanks for stopping by Faith's blog and praying for her very sore eyes. Things are starting to improve but I think we have some tricky days ahead still. At least we have a wagging tail again some of the time...

Hi Sparky,

Sorry I haven't visited for ages - my humans were away overseas and only just got back. Hsin-Yi's father died and Paul's father was in hospital with a nasty thing called cancer - and then while they were away, we also lost Lemon! She died very suddenly in kennels and my humans were really shocked because she was a young, healthy cat. Anyway, so it was quite a sad home-coming. Hopefully, the rest of 2009 will be happier!

Hope you've been well - looking forward to catching up on your news!

Honey the Great Dane

I am the kind of guy who passions to seek recent stuff. Currently I'm manufacturing my private solar panels. I'm making it all alone without the aid of my staff. I am utilizing the internet as the only way to acheive this. I discovered a really brilliant site that explains how to build photovoltaic panels and so on. The web site explains all the steps involved in solar panel construction.

I'm not exactly sure bout how correct the info given there is. If some guys over here who have experience with these works can have a peak and give your feedback in the page it would be grand and I'd highly appreciate it, because I truly love solar panel construction.

Tnx for reading this. U guys are the best.
