Osoyoos Lake!

We have arrived at Osoyoos lake! It took ages to get here! Did you know it's supposed to be about 4 or 5 hours of strait driving from my house? Well guess how long it took. Can't guess? it took us 7 hours! Do you know why? Because of my humans, that's why! You won't believe all the bathrooms stops these people take!

Well, we all got into the van at about 11:oo (an hour behind schedule of course). The van was packed. How much stuff do these people need? All I brought was my tennis ball, rag toy, cookies, and water dish. I wouldn't bring my dog food because I hate dog food. I only like people food. But Lizzy brought my dog food anyway, but I still won't eat it.

Look how full our van is! I sat on top of the biggest pile, where I could see out all the windows at once!

So all together in the van, there was me, Lizzy, Esther, Joey, and their mom and dad. And then, driving in front of us were Lizzy's oldest brother Ben and his wife, Michelle. Well, once we finally got into the mountains, we were driving along, when there was a split in the road. Ben and Michelle, who have no idea how to get to where we were going, went the wrong way. I don't even know why they were driving in front, I think they should have followed us from the start. Well, they didn't notice when Dad honked at them as we drove past on the right road, so then we had to call them on the cell phone and tell them they were on their way to a completely different city. Meanwhile, we were still driving and were now pretty far ahead. Finally Ben and Michelle said they found their way back to the right road, so we started to tell them that we were pulling over to wait for them, when the phone went dead. So we waited by the side of the road, looking for when Ben and Michelle would come around the corner, and hoping they'd see us and not shoot ahead and get lost again. All of a sudden, they came around the corner and shot ahead of us, not even noticing our white van. Now, they were going pretty fast because of course they were hoping to catch up to us, because they thought we were still driving because before we told them we pulled over the cell phone went dead. So, by the time we pulled out of the side of the road, they were pretty far ahead. So what did Dad the Dangerous Driver do? Well, lets just say that I found myself flying from the top of my tower and squashed into the back window. We were going very fast to catch up to Ben and Michelle. Finally we reached their beige car, looked through their side windows, and guess what? There were these 2 young girls. Not Ben and Michelle. So then we realized that we were really ahead of them, so dad pulled over fast to the side of the road to stop and wait. This time I found myself flying back over my pile and the middle seats and landing on Lizzy's sister. That was a crazy ride. A while later, Ben and Michelle finally came and we managed to not get lost and we stuck together for the rest of the trip.

Here I am, when we finally reached the lake!

LOOK EVERYONE! We're THERE! We're THERE! YAY!

Lizzy took me to the dock as soon as we got there. It was very windy!

And guess what I did? I swam! I'm finally getting over my bad beginning with water almost 6 years ago. Actually, I think I like water!

Look, I blend into the water and rocks!

Hi Sparky

Boy, hoomans sure are stoopid, aren't they !!

You are very brave swimming at all, and you swam so far out. I'm still scared of water. I put my feet in once but I'm scared again. My mum is going to keep helping me.

I love hooman food best of all too. My mum can't resist my sad eyes and my drool.

Have a great time, Sparky.

Love from Hammer
